This is a very scarce pre-WWI U.S. Marine Corps holster for the M1911 Pistol. This holster was the infantry version of the M-1912 swivel holster, while the Army only used the Swivel Holster the Marines opted for this holster as well.
This holster is in rough shape with some cracking, crazing, and flaking as shown. There is a leg wrap but it may have been added later.
This is a very rare example of a WWI-era marine corps holster.
