WWI US Army ID Tag was engraved on an Italian coin of Umberto I (1878-1900) with the name Rolland E. Foor, US Army France, 1918-1919. Foor of Everett, PA enlisted on July 15, 1917, and served throughout WWI in France with Company L, 112th Infantry Regiment, 28th Division until April 19, 1919. After returning to the US, records indicate that Foor departed from San Francisco, CA, on September 13, 1919, as part of a medical detachment destined for Siberia. Following his tour in Russia, Foor arrived in Germany and then returned to the United States on June 23, 1920, as a Private First Class in the War Prison Guard, Siberia. Remarkably, Foor is one of the few soldiers who served in both WWI and the Russian Intervention.
