WWII-Vietnam War US Army insignia grouping belonging to Lt Gen William P. Yarborough, “Father of the Modern Green Berets.” Included in the group is a letter written from Yarborough to collector Ken Lazier gifting him the last few pieces of his insignia he had available. Offered is his US Army & name tapes, WWII ribbon bar, Pacific Ocean Areas and 1st Corps patches, a press release photo. Lt Gen Yarborough had a distinguished career in the US Army, notable for designing several military uniforms to include the paratroopers boots & uniform, airborne wings, and the green beret.
