WWI US Army British made helmet nearly complete with the liner and a partial chinstrap which is placed in the bails so as to look as if complete. Painted on the front of the helmet is a faded Indian head on a white star inside of a blue pentagon which is for the 3rd BN, 9th Inf Reg, 2nd Div. On one side of the helmet is a pistol impact round which is just as likely to have occurred post-war as it is wartime battle damage.
