Original WWI US Gas Mask inscribed on the front to 2nd Corps Artillery Park, 5th Corps and named to Private First Class James Dryer, a Massachusetts native. Dryer served overseas leaving the US on July 10, 1918 aboard the Matsonia and returning June 28, 1919 aboard the USS My Vernon. From Sep 21 1918 through post-Armistice the 2nd Corps Artillery park was attached to 5th Corps. Dryer included Aisne-Marne, Oise-Aisne, St. Mihiel, and Muese-Argonne campaigns. Only contains the mask, hose, and filter which are all together and in good condition although the gas mask is in crispy condition as usual but the artwork displays really well!
