WWII airplane relic from the Battle of Britain off of a British Spitfire R6967, 234th Squadron piloted by K. S. Dewhurst and was shot down by a German Me-109 at Willey Farm, Widley, Southwick on Aug 16, 1940. Airplane relic is a wire wrapped tube that was mounted to some point in the plane. Measures 4.5 x 4 inches when coiled and about 12 inches in length.
