Cold War-era US Army dress uniform grouping consisting of a Dress Green jacket and Dress Blue jacket & trousers named to Lt Gen Robert M. Elton who served as the Commanding General 9th Inf Div from 1981 to 1983 and then as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Personnel, Department of the Army, from 1983 until he retired in 1987. Elton most notably served in the Vietnam War as Battalion Commander, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, in the Republic of Vietnam, from 1967 to 1968 where he awarded a Silver Star and Legion of Merit. Both uniforms are in very good condition with more wear to front of the Dress Green jacket.
