WWI US Army Private Purchase Uniform attributed by an older collector’s note to 1SG Harold B Graham (ASN: 1266509), 11th Co., 2nd Air Service Mechanics Regiment. While not directly named on the uniform to Graham, it is undoubtedly his as he does show up in the transport logs leaving the US on March 4, 1918 and remaining with the AEF until June 17, 1919 which qualified him for two overseas stripes; however, like many other service members, he likely rounded up his service to three stripes. Additionally, on his return voyage he is listed as a SGT but possibly received a promotion, maybe temporarily, as the First Sergeant. Or, just like his service stripes, he could have inflated his service. Overall, the condition of the uniform is good with two period repairs to the back of the uniform with some wear and staining to the liner. Digital copies are added to the listing but physical copies are not included. Please download the images for your personal records.
