An M16 Stahlhelm helmet shell from WWI with extensive battle damage, in good condition, was brought home by a US soldier. Due to the lack of heavy oxidation, it was not unearthed but likely picked up from the battlefield. There is significant damage to the left and rear of the helmet, along with one concussive blast mark at the crown. This blast likely also dislodged one helmet lug, the chinstrap, and possibly part of the liner; the rest was probably removed post-pickup due to the likely gruesome state. The brim is marked "TJ68," indicating it was manufactured by Thiel & Söhne, Lundbeck.
