WWI US Army M1917 Helmet complete with a liner and a Chinstrap which has been put on the brim for display purposes. The entire outer shell is period painted with what is assumed to be a whitewash. Offcentered to the right is a small painted insignia for Co M, 3rd Bn, 318th Inf Reg, 80th Div.
